City buses offer transfer services to and from Penang International Airport that can take you to any part of Penang, depending on the bus number and bus routes. You can take the bus to Curbside Lane 3, Level 1, Arrival Concourse of the airport terminal building.

Rapid Penang has been a reliable bus operator providing services in the area, including routes to and from Penang International Airport and various parts of Penang Island.

The Rapid Penang routes to Penang International Airport include Bus102 - Penang International Airport-to-Penang National Park, vice versa, Bus 306 - Penang International Airport-Penang General Hospital, vice versa, Bus 401: Teluk Kumbar-Pengkalan Weld, vice versa and Bus 401E: Balik Pulau-Pengkalan Weld, vice versa.
